The Food/General Questions

How is this different from a CSA?

We offer more flexibility, options, and convenience than a typical CSA. Because we source from many different farms, we can offer a broader variety of produce through all seasons. Also, you don’t have to pay for the season upfront, and you can skip a delivery or alter your schedule as needed. We also deliver.

How do you work around allergies?

Since we work in a kitchen space where nuts, shellfish, gluten and dairy are processed, we suggest that if you have a severe allergy that you do not get our boxes.

Are the boxes prepared and ready to eat?

No. While some goods, such as croissants, are ready to eat, the majority of what we provide is 1 or two steps away from ready to eat. Where it makes sense, we prepare things like salad dressing, shredded cheese, and more to enhance a meal that you prepare at home.

How do you source the food?

We source the majority of our food directly from the farms and producers that grow, cultivate, and make their goods. We love working directly with small businesses and whenever we have the chance we do so. We also work with several family-run delivery services that are able to bring us goods from farms on the islands and peninsula.

Can I see what comes in the weekly boxes?

Of course! Head over to our blog where we outline what is fresh that week. If you want to make a change to your subscription, please do it by 1PM on Wednesday.

Can I choose the produce or meat that comes in my boxes?

At this time, we do not allow substitutions in the core subscription boxes. If you aren’t loving something or have dietary restrictions, you can purchase items A La Carte through the All Products section.

Do I place an order every delivery period?

If you sign up for a subscription plan, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive a text message letting you know the delivery time the Wednesday before your Friday delivery,

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes! Log in and head to your account page where you will be able to suspend or change your subscription. If you are having trouble, feel free to contact us.


What happens if I’m not home?

At this time we ask that you have a plan in place for someone to be home when we deliver as many items in the boxes are perishable. We do include ice packs, but if you are not going to be around your house on the day of delivery, we ask that you arrange for a neighbor to receive it or to pick it up from Capitol Hill.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free for orders over $60 in the Seattle area. $10 is charged for deliveries under that amount. We are working to minimize this amount and to extend deliveries to more zip codes in the future.

Can I choose when my delivery arrives?

We deliver between 12PM and 7pm. Due to our efficient routing process, we are unable to guarantee delivery times, but if the phone number on your account can receive text messages, you will receive a 2 hour window the Wednesday before delivery, and then another message when the driver is arriving.

When is the deadline to change or enter my order?

1PM 2 days before the day of your delivery. So typically Wednesday at 1PM.

Do you deliver to apartment buildings or gated communities?

Yes. Make sure we have your gate codes or any other special instructions for our drivers.

Can I tip the packing and delivery team?

You will have an option during the selection of the boxes wherein you can leave a tip. You can also send tips via venmo to @goodweather (last four digits 7234) and they will be distributed to the team.
